Do you get that feeling when you know that you have a whole bunch of something, and when you think about it, you really don't? As I was looking through my closet, I realized that I don't have as many floral blouses as I thought I did. How odd is that? It's been what? Almost 3 or 4 years since my love for floral patterns was unleashed that I didn't even notice half of my wardrobe is a mix and match of everything. But that thought doesn't diminish my love for it. I still feel that fire burn taller whenever I spot that one floral skirt in between all those other zigzag, polka dots, and tribal patterns. I see you.
Reasons to Love Floral
It's Vintage and Classic
The pattern has been around for ages and it still hasn't died out. It was said to have started from Asia; Japan and China to be specific (hello kimonos), and was then migrated to Europe. The floral pattern was used for window drapes and curtains, table cloths, and of course, clothing. And let's not forget the lace integration of floral pattern as laced gloves and even accents for hats. It's vintage and classic.
It Brightens Up the Room
In a room filled with dull solid colors and boring patterns, in comes, a man in a fabulous floral tie with blue, white, and a tiny dash of pink accents embroidered onto it. It instantly brightens up the room and lets the air into the stuffy chamber. He is an immediate interest to the crowd that suddenly feels uplifted by his presence. He promotes good energy into the entire room for the audience to soak up.
Florals have a tendency to bring in some good energy with is naturistic feel and bright and eye catching colors. Just like how putting a bouquet of flowers in the middle of the dining room table, it instantly makes the room feel brighter, happier, and cozier. The same science goes with floral patterns.
A Little Bit Goes a Long Way
A little bit of floral can make any outfit, room, or garden look gorgeous and eye-catching. A solid black dress would be perfect with a floral statement necklace to give it that final elegant touches or even a plain skirt with a floral top would look divine! When you add that little bit of floral, it goes a long way giving that pop of color, that pop of exuberance and feeling of good energy that you're bound to get addicted to.
