The sea breeze rustles through your hair as you stand at the edge of the beach. Opening your arms wide to take the deepest inhale you've taken all day and exhale with an overwhelming feeling of gratitude and love.
That is the image that comes to mind when I think of the moment when we discover who we are. Of course, it doesn't happen that way, it usually happens over time, doesn't it? We do something for the longest time and finally ask ourselves, "Is this what I really want to do?" "Is this what I love?" "Is this me?" It is when you answer yes and/or no to these questions that bring you one step closer to discovering who you are.
I'm not sure if what I'm doing is really for me. I've been going with the flow of life, and doubt never crossed my mind, until recently. I full on doubted if all that I was doing every day was really meant for me. If this was really what I wanted to do. If it was what I should be doing it. So I began doing things half-heartedly, my job performance reduced, and my energy level dropped as I sank deeper into my doubts. It was as difficult as it always was to focus on other things when you aren't sure of anything.
Although the doubts still linger for a bit, I found my way back. I asked myself if what I was doing was what I wanted to do. If it was what I loved. If it was me. I avoided answering them because I was scared of the truth; whatever it could be. After some time, I finally answered yes to all of them because I realized that it would be a lie if I had said no, and that brings me a step close to discovering who I am.

When you answer no, that tells you that what you're doing isn't for you, and it settles your mind on finding something else instead of spending your days doing something that isn't really for you. And if you answer yes, it's like you jumped two spaces ahead of the game and it's time to go on stronger!
Have a wonderful day, badasses!
