Let's Try This Again

December 15, 2016

"I have nothing to wear!"

No doubt everyone screams out this line at least once a week every time they look into their closet. It's a struggle when your mind can't pair that blouse with those pants since you've already worn it a dozen times in the past month. At the point of contemplation in deciding whether to just head out and buy a new pair of jeans, a voice swoops by and says:

"It isn't about buying new clothes, it's about mixing and matching with the old ones."

As I looked into my closet and spotted this gorgeous tribal patterned dress that has been sitting there for a little over a year, I thought "FINE! Let's try this again."

I bought this dress for a play last year, and although the dress went perfectly during the show, in reality, it is the most difficult dress to work with. I've only worn it twice; thrice counting this shoot, and every time I slip it on I would slip it right off because it didn't feel just right. Until this shoot when I decided to squeeze out the stylist in me and pared this midi dress with my denim top and boots.

When you pair your olds with olds and mix and match, you'll surely save your cash and still look fa-bu-lous!

I think the mix looks pretty good, but I also believe that this dress would suit well with another owner. I've come to terms with the fact that not all clothes go with my curvy body. 😀
