Oatmeal Cookies

October 17, 2014

I posted an oatmeal cookie photo before on this blog but that was for a review. Today I decided to share my Oatmeal Cookie recipe that everyone seems to enjoy. It's an easy cookie recipe that's perfect for a snack or for breakfast.

Ingredients

1 cup of Butter, softened
1 cup of white sugar
1 cup of brown sugar
2 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
3 cups quick cooking oats

Optional
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Chocolate chips

Procedure

1. First you'll want to cream your butter, then add in the white and brown sugar.

2. Then beat in the eggs one at a time.

3. In a separate bowl combine in flour, baking soda, salt and/or cinnamon. Then add it into the creamy mixture.

4. Then add in the oats one cup at a time.

5. You will want to wrap the dough in cling-film and pop it into the refrigerator for at least an hour.
6. Preheat the oven to 190oC (375oF).
7. Take out the dough from the fridge, roll it out, and place it on the tray at least 2 inches apart.
8. SWEET PART & Optional: Flatten each cookies with a fork dipped in sugar
9. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for at least 5 minutes before transferring them on a plate or wire wrack.

And that's done. Enjoy the tasty crunchy cookies that are perfect for breakfast and snacks.

Happy Baking!
