2016 Two Month Calendar Printables

December 29, 2015

A few days back I was looking at my desk calendar and realized that I didn't have one for 2016. So after a few hours of scrolling through various retail sites, I found that I didn't want to wait another three weeks for the calendar to get to me, I wanted one now; plus, why spend? Eventually, I came up with the solution to make one. I wanted a simple A6 desk calendar that I could easily customize with washy tape, color pencils, and post-its.

I made a very simple Two-Month Calendar and thought I'd share the printables all you stationary addicts out there. I have to be honest, though, I only made two months because it took me about an hour on each month, and other duties were calling. Nonetheless, here are the first two months of 2016 completely free for download.

For my International readers who start their week on a Monday
and for my local Bahrain readers who start their week on a Sunday.

The New Year is almost upon us, and what better way to start than with a brand new calendar!

Within the next two months, I'll probably be releasing another two month calendar for March and April. Fingers crossed.
Happy New Year, y'all!

The Little Goals

December 21, 2015

Well let's round it up shall we!

It's been over a month since I set these plans, and I wanted to round up my Year-End goals at least a week before the final week of the year. I feel like everything that happened this year came rushing back with the new year on it's way. Oh, so many feels...

So let's get down to it and see how we did these past 7 weeks.

1. Finish 5 books before the year end's. Well majority of it... I've finished three books since we set this goal. Losing it by Cora Carmack, The Kings Curse by Philippa Gregory, and Twice Lost by Sarah Porter

2. Go for a run. Went once the past 7 weeks, and that was with my mom. She power-walked while I jogged beside her.

3. Deliver two more speeches in my Toastmasters club before the year ends.
I stated this plan before I realized that we only had about two Toastmaster meetings in the past 7 weeks, so that didn't give me much time to prepare and deliver a good speech. I also realized that if I want to deliver a speech, I'd rather do it properly than look sloppy.

4. Sketch a portrait.
I sat down for a good couple of hours on and off for two days, just drawing and playing around with water colors. It was refreshing. Here is one of it.

5. Take more outfit photo's. Done and Done!

If you took part in this little challenge, how did you do? Was it progressive? It sure was to me. This little list helped me get back on track. I feel pretty accomplished now that I reread through the goals. Despite how small these accomplishements are, I think this proves that it's the little things that can really brighten that aura of yours.

Keep making goals and keep attacking them on at a time.
Continue to be fierce and badass!

4 Holiday Gifts with Long Term Value

December 14, 2015

It is the time of the year for giving and staying within the cloud of cheer. Let's keep out smiles bright and merry, and be grateful for the people around us by gifting them something worthwhile this Holiday Season.

I adore gift giving as much as anyone in the holiday spirit. Even if I'm handing a beautifully wrapped box to a complete stranger, my heart begins to flutter with butterflies with the idea. One of the major dilemmas every holiday season; and during birthday's too, is what to get. As part of a collaboration with Dollar Shave Club I came up with a few ideas to help solve this annual question.

So let's get down to business. Look back at the gifts people gave you, do you still have most of them? When I think back, I realize that some gifts have been used up while the rest either broke or got expired. So, how about, instead of gifting your friends and family with things that expire or break easily and have expensive repair options. How about we gift them something that could last for years to come.

Here is a little gift guide for gifts with long-term value:

1. Plain Scarf

If you're not sure what type of scarf they like, just go for the solid colors. When in doubt, go with the holiday colors. Green, red, maybe black or white too. Or just opt for their favorite color or the color they wear often.

2. A Watch

Watches could last for years. If it breaks, it can easily be fixed. Watches make a great investment and an elegant gift, they can be personalized too. Check out the ones by MikaLush on Etsy

3. Personalized Jewelry

Etsy has dozens of personalized jewelry that you can browse through. Either it's a pendant or their name that's woven through the necklace, personalized jewelry make such a meaningful gift that will make anyone blush. Check out the ones by Cavare on Etsy & Happy Way Jewelry on Etsy

4. You. Your support. Your services. Your gratitude. Your love.

I know it's cliche, but it's true. You presence and living self is the greatest gift you could give to your family and closest friends. Not to be vain or filled too much with yourself but, give your mom and dad a hug this Christmas and say thank you, for everything. Make them feel loved and grateful for life.

Remember to be grateful for every day that passes.
Stay humble, y'all.
Happy Holidays!

Do you love what you're doing?

December 7, 2015

Take a breath and think of your present. What are you doing with your time today? Are you on your usual routine? How long have you been doing what you're doing? But most importantly, do you love what you're doing?

My last visit to a Toastmaster meeting, a speaker, spoke about Happiness and how every one of us lives our lives in search of happiness. She ended her speech with the question. A question in which I don't recall because my memory is one of my weaker points, although, the question entailed the idea that happiness isn't something you search for, it's something that you accept into your life.

The reasons why we do what we do is mostly because we want to be happy, and because we want everyone around us to be happy. And so we begin to work hard for money, for our families, for our friends, just to make each other happy, regardless of whether we love what we do.

But we go about our days working hard at a job that we end up stressing about it. We end up doing what we don't like over and over again. We end up coming home tired and grey, and when asked the question "Are you happy?" they're reply would either be "I don't know" or simply "No."

So what's the point? What's the point of doing something that makes you grey and blue when you don't get a single smile out of it at the end of the day. If you're struggling or stressing, accept the little things that bring that little spark into your eyes, and find that something you like doing, and do that. Then spend the rest of your days turning what you like into what you love. And that could induce that happiness you seek.

Accept your happiness in the small things that make you glow all over, and spread that glow to the people around you. Shine your light on others and your happiness will grow.

Keep smiling and loving!

Unicorn Bound

November 30, 2015

It's all about the magic. The rainbows, golden sparkles, and wishes that come true.

I know Halloween was weeks ago, but with my sisters Halloween themed Birthday Party last week, we were all required to dress up and I was looking for a good opportunity to bring out my Unicorn Onesie. I didn't dress up this Halloween; I spent the day attending Toastmaster meetings like every weekend. Sigh.

But all is well. This onesie was comfy, warm, and cozy. Leaving a rainbow trail with every step I make, and bringing joy to the people around me with my pink cuteness. I felt super adorable and magical in it.

There is this quote that says "Always be yourself unless you're a unicorn, then always be a unicorn." If you feel like a magical unicorn today, then be that magical unicorn and spread those rainbows.

If you had an animal onesie, what would it be?
Stay magical y'all!

Accept your Brightest Colors

November 23, 2015

When you come out and realize that the decision you made is something you regret. That the choice of leaving instead of staying is something you regret. That the option to not submit the full paperwork is something you regret. That the judgment of choosing one instead of the other is something you regret. Feeling that guilt get bottled up inside for days, rethinking every bit of the scenario and repeating the words, "I shouldn't have done that."

We're human. We make mistakes and regret the choices that we end up taking. So it's okay. It's okay to feel regret once in a while. That just proves that we are still human when we feel some sort of negative emotion instead of positive ones.

There was a time this week when I realized that regret wasn't a thing I felt often. It was a while since we last met, and it felt weird. I was under this negative cloud that made my judgments and further decisions throughout the week something I regretted even more–talk about adding to the pile of negativity.

But I just sat there and accepted my regrets and bad decisions. Instead of pushing them away and asking myself, "Why did I do it this way? Why didn't I do it that way?" I just said, "I did it. It happened. It's okay." And one morning I awoke and went through my day until I realized that the heavy guilty feeling wasn't there. It disappeared into the abyss.

Accept your negative feelings when they come out, and do what they say, "ride the wave." Having negative emotions prove that we can't always be positive, and accepting these emotions prove that it's okay to sit and sulk for a bit until your light comes back to shine even brighter.

I dare y'all to wear a the brightest color you have in your wardrobe, and rock it!
You'll feel ridiculous, yes, but trust me, it'll be worth feeling silly.

Styling a Sweater and a Button Up this Winter

November 16, 2015

Winter breezes have finally arrived east and the need to switch on the AC every time I walk in a room has been dispatched. The first day out and about with the winter breeze blowing, it was time to whip out my old sweaters. Layering it on top of one of my favorite summer staples; my floral button up shirt, olive green jeans, and of course, floral shoes. Now that's what I call Earth Toned.

It's has a very laid back and casual feel to it. Since I didn't button up all the way with the sweater being quite loose on the collar, I left a few buttons free and added a tiny necklace to show off my neckline.

All I'm excited about this winter are the twinklings lights, cozy sweaters, and Starbucks' Toffee Nut Latte–which I'm still waiting on by the way. What're you excited about this winter?

Enjoy the winter breezes and keep those smiles bright!
