Why everything feels like a mess

October 6, 2015

One day you look at yourself in the mirror and ask, "How did I turn out this way? How did I get myself into this? How did I get so much on my plate?"

I'm here to bluntly tell you, "Unfortunately, you made your life this way. You chose this route. You asked for it, so you get what you asked for."

I'm sure you must be baffled by the idea that you're the reason behind your life choices. Well, honey, you are. No one really has the ability to make choices for you since it's your body and your mind that accepts these given options.

Sometimes I feel like I have too much on my plate and ask myself, "How did it all turn out like this? How did I get myself into it?" and that is when I just sit back and ask myself the same questions from a different perspective, "Why did I choose this route? Do I really want this? Do I really want a billion things piled up on my plate? What do I want?"

What do you want?

Do you want to live an exciting life filled with color and perspective? To feel those nervous jitters every time something new and brilliant comes up? or do you want a smooth mellow life filled with pastel colors and sweet smiles? To have a peaceful day by the beach or to stay in with a cup of tea and a good book?

All you have to do is to ask for it. If you're not satisfied with what you have, ask for something better. If you're struggling with too much then ask for some peace and more free time for some you-time. And if your life feels too dull, then ask for that pop of color to brighten your days, and shining lights to light up your nights. It's as simple as that.

I went with an all black outfit that day, and decided to add a pop of color with the necklace and my turquoise blazer that hasn't seen the light in AGES! It's been locked up in my closet for months, that poor thing.

That day was a good day and I remember it well. It was a day of many meetings and a good luncheon. It was the day when color came strolling in after a tedious week of numbness work.

Live in color, my loves, and stay beautiful!
