Blogmas Day 5
*cue Silver Bells*
"Inhale cold air, Exhale warm air"
It's either freezing, relatively cold, or warm wherever you are. Nonetheless, I hope you have good and bearable weather on your side of the planet.
My mantra's for this passed week – maybe month, it just felt like a week – are "Breeeeeeeaaathe" "Inhale deeply, exhale fully" "breaathe slowly and deeply". Since I sometimes get quite anxious, breathing helps a lot, like a whole lot. I would just sit, close my eyes, and focus on my breathing and my anxiety and heart palpitations would dial down.
Every time someone tells me that they're stressed, overwhelmed, or even confused, I would tell them to breathe. Breathing helps keep your mind clear, controls your stress levels, and just helps you relax when you're having a not so good day.
Someone once said that the slower you breathe, the longer you'll live. They had said that our lives are determined based on how many breathes we took. This could be true since breathing exercises helps lower your chances of heart attacks and high blood pressure. What do you all think?
Have any of you – my lovely readers – sat and focused on your breathing for a sec? It will take less than 5 minutes, trust me, you'll feel calm, relaxed, and so mellow.
Now smile, breathe in that cool air deeply through your nose. Hold it in for a few seconds, then slowly let out that warm air through your mouth. Repeat this a few more times when you feel the need to relax a little.
